What if I don’t need refills that often?
Refills are scheduled every 3 months by default, but you actually have up to 4 months to use your gas. If you’re using less than expected, you can:
- Delay your next refill
- Pause your subscription
- Drop to a 2 Cylinder Plan
What if I want to pause or cancel?
You can pause or cancel at any time. To cancel, simply return our CO2 YOU cylinders using our FREEPOST returns OR purchase the cylinders outright making them yours to keep. Email us at: refill@co2you.com for more information.
Are your cylinders compatible with my machine?
CO2 YOU cylinders are compatible with most home sparkling water machines.
Our Screw In cylinders are compatible with most sparkling water makers including:
- Old SodaStream models (excluding Terra, Art, Duo, Enso, Mix. These take our Quick Connects)
- Aarke (all)
- Sage InFizz Fusion
- Pro Cook
- Smeg
- Laica
- Philips
- Cello
- Drinkmate
- Bibo Fizz
- MySoda
- Woody
- Fizzit
- Geepas
Our Quick Connect cylinders are compatible with:
- All modern SodaStream machines including Terra, Art, Enso, Duo, Mix.
Our Quooker cylinders are only compatible with Quooker Tap Systems.

Do I need to remember to return my empty cylinders?
No - we do that for you.
When we deliver your refills, we collect our empty CO2 YOU cylinders at the same time. One visit, no extra steps.
Is this a subscription or a one-off purchase?
The refill programme is a subscription, designed to make refilling effortless and better value.
One-off purchases are available, but most customers choose the refill programme because it’s easier, cheaper long-term, and waste-free.
Do you charge a deposit on cylinders?
No.
We don’t believe in deposits.
Just return your cylinders when refills are due or if you cancel.
What happens if I'm not home for the delivery date?
We’ll always contact you first 7 days before your scheduled refill delivery. This gives you plenty of time to reschedule the delivery date to a more convenient day.
Our goal is to keep the refill system running smoothly - not to catch anyone out. If something’s gone wrong, just let us know and we’ll sort it.
What if I already have cylinders from another supplier?
If you have cylinders from elsewhere (for example Amazon or another brand), we can:
- Recycle them responsibly for you
- Offer a small credit to use on your second order
Just get in touch and we’ll advise based on what you have.
Shipping
On your first order we offer 1-3 business days delivery on all orders placed before 1pm between Mondays and Fridays.
Delivery within the Netherlands is free.
We deliver across all of the Netherlands.
No, you don’t need to be home. But please give the courier a safe place to leave the delivery. You can do this on email or SMS once you have received your tracking number.
We use a variety of couriers. These included DPD and GLS.
We will deliver your first refill on your chosen delivery date (maximum 4 months in-between refills). Please return our empty cylinders in the original box they came in and we will deliver a new box of cylinders. It is perfectly okay for some of the cylinders you are returning to still contain gas. We work within a circular economy so all cylinders will be reused.
Payments, Refunds, and Returns
Our 2-cylinder plan is €35, and the 4-cylinder plan is €50. You have up to 4 months to use our cylinders, but you can refill sooner if needed. Adjust your frequency anytime in your account or email us and we will assist.
Once your refill order is placed, you will receive an email with a returns label.
Place our empty cylinders in the original box and secure them with the cable ties provided. If for some reason you cannot find the cable ties and you don’t have any of your own please just close the case and hand it to the parcel shop in your area. You can find out where the nearest parcel shop is to your location by clicking on the link within the returns email.
If you make a one-time purchase outside of the refill programme you do not need to return your cylinders. However, due to our circular economy we encourage you to recycle cylinders and we can happily arrange this for you. Please reach out via email and we can organise this.
If a payment fails, we’ll notify you by email. You can retry with the same card or update your payment details in your account. Need help? Email us at refill@co2you.com.
Simply log into your online account to update your card details. If you have any issues, email us and we’ll help.
If you are using Shop Pay and the transaction fails, then you will need to ensure there are sufficient funds on the card or update your card details within Shop Pay with a valid card.
Using My Cylinders
We offer several different types of cylinder so that we can offer compatibility to all machines in the marketplace. For home users, we offer a Screw-in cylinder, a Quick Connect cylinder and a Quooker cylinder. Please make sure your machine is compatible with the type of cylinders you order.
Screw-in Cylinders. Firstly, make sure the cylinder is securely screwed into your machine – this ensures proper gas flow. If it’s still not working, double-check you’re using the correct cylinder for your carbonator. Unsure? Email refill@co2you.com and we’ll sort it out.
Quick Connect cylinders - please follow the instructions from your machine manufacturer and if you are still experiencing issues then please email us.
Quooker - you should never experience any issues using our Quooker cylinders but if you are facing any difficulties please get in touch.
In the event that your cylinders do not seem to be working properly, please contact us via email refill@co2you.com and we will be here to assist you.
We’re reducing plastic waste! Caps and shrink wrap are removed when cylinders are returned. Rest assured, they’re perfectly safe to use. From time to time you may still receive cylinders with their caps and plastic shrink wrap, but generally we don’t send them out in this format.

Yes! You can purchase cylinders as a ‘one time purchase’ on our website or via our Amazon store. When you buy cylinders these become your property.
No problem! We don’t charge any deposits on cylinders, but instead we simply ask that you return all our cylinders to us – full or empty. We appreciate this means sometimes you haven’t used all the gas but it avoids us having to charge deposits to you in advance. Full cylinders are reused in our system, ensuring no gas goes to waste. If you’re regularly left with unused gas, try adjusting your plan or contact us to resolve this.
Compatibility with Other Brands
Yes! Our cylinders work with all home carbonators – including SodaStream (Quick Connect), standard screw-in machines, and Quooker taps. If you are unsure which cylinder will work for your machine then please email us at refill@co2you.comprior to making an order.
We can recycle any brand of cylinder provided its been placed and safely secured in a box. If you have a number of cylinders to return and need a box, let us know and we can send an empty box to you when we deliver our first order. We offer a €2 credit against each cylinder that you return to us. We only use our own brand on the refill programme, so please do not place other brands of cylinders in our box once you are on our refill programme.
We are in no way affiliated with Sodastream. CO2 YOU is a proud, independent company built and based in the UK. All our cylinders are refilled at our purpose built refilling centre in Chelmsford, UK. Our office is based in Central London.
Cancelling or Pausing Your Subscription
If you wish to cancel an order you must let us know before your order is shipped. We’ll email you a week before delivery and follow up via other methods such as whatsapp and SMS. We will make every effort to contact you in advance of any upcoming orders so please do not leave it until the last minute if you know that you do not need your refill.
Once shipped, orders cannot be cancelled. Please let us know in advance of shipping the order that you wish to cancel so that we can avoid any unnecessary charges.
To cancel please contact us directly. You’ll need to return all cylinders within 5 working days using our easy returns portal. Once we receive them, we’ll cancel your subscription. We want to make the cancellation process as smooth as possible for you, so please reach out to us at any point if you have questions or need assistance.
We cannot cancel your subscription until our cylinders have been received in our warehouse. Rest assured, we do not want to charge anyone for missing cylinders but in the event that you have lost them or perhaps you’d like to keep them please contact us so that we can discuss the next steps. This usually means a one time fee per cylinder lost from our circular economy.
We do not pause subscriptions. This is just so that we can ensure our cylinders do not ‘go walkies’. Our cylinders remain the property of CO2 YOU and need to stay in circulation to keep bubbles flowing for everyone.
